This page is for franchisor teams starting with Rikor, or picking it back up after a change on the team. It lists what to set up first, in order, so your brand and your franchisees get the full benefit.

What Rikor is for

Rikor protects your brand and every franchisee's investment in it. We make sure your insurance requirements are right, insure franchisees to those requirements from day one, and check every location's insurance against them. The steps below put all three in place.

Step 1. Send us your documents

We need your current FDD, your franchise agreement and your operations manual. They tell us what you require today and how your franchisees work.

Step 2. Get your free FDD review

Rikor reviews your FDD's insurance section against our industry benchmarks and recommends the wording for your Item 8. Requirements written years ago, or copied from another brand, often leave gaps that expose the brand. Have your legal team review our recommendations before you change your FDD or franchise agreement.

Step 3. We set up your requirements

Rikor sets your brand's insurance requirements up in the RMS: the coverages, minimum limits, endorsements, the certificate holder and the description of operations. Every certificate and every quote is checked against them.

Step 4. Put Rikor in your franchisee onboarding

This is the step that matters most. Your brand gets its own Rikor link. Put it in your onboarding so every new franchisee is insured to your requirements before they open. See Add Rikor to your franchisee onboarding.

Step 5. Bring in your existing franchisees

We import your franchisee roster from your franchise management system or a spreadsheet, then start collecting certificates. See Initiating Franchisee Insurance Compliance.

Step 6. Send your risk management materials

Safety programs, training and your employee handbook help us get your franchisees better terms. See What are Risk Management Materials?

Tell us what's not working

If something isn't working for your team or your franchisees, tell your Rikor partnership contact or email support@rikor.io. If you don't tell us, we don't know.
