This page is for franchise owners insured through Rikor who need to change a policy: add a vehicle or driver, add a location, change an address, or add or change coverage. Tell us before the change happens when you can, so you're covered from day one.

Step 1. Email us what's changing

Send it to support@rikor.io with your business name, your brand and the date the change starts. Include the details for your change:

Change What to send
Add a vehicle Year, make, model, VIN, and where it's kept overnight
Remove a vehicle VIN and the date it was sold or taken off the road
Add a driver Full name, date of birth, driver's license number and state. Pull their driving record first.
Add a location Address, what happens there, square footage, and the landlord's insurance requirements if you lease
Change your address or business name The new details and the date. A new legal entity can need a new policy, so tell us early.
Add equipment What it is, its value, and a serial number for anything expensive
Add or raise coverage What you need and why, such as a contract or landlord requirement. Send the contract if you have it.

Step 2. We confirm the change and the cost

We send the change to your insurance company and tell you if it changes your premium. Some changes, like removing coverage, need your written OK first.

Step 3. You get the updated paperwork

The insurance company issues the change, called an endorsement. Some take a few weeks to send it. If you need proof sooner, such as an updated certificate for a landlord, ask and we'll send one as soon as the change is in place.

Good to know

  • The premium for a change starts on the change date, so the bill can arrive weeks later. See Billing surprises and how to avoid them.
  • If your payroll or revenue has grown by about 15% or more, tell us too. It keeps your audit small.
  • Some carriers won't add drivers in the middle of a policy term. If yours won't, we'll tell you the options.
