Why your brand partnered with us
Why did my brand partner with Rikor?
Your brand wants to help protect the investment you’ve made in your business. Monitoring insurance across a growing network takes ongoing attention. We provide the team and process to check documents, track renewal dates, and follow up when something needs attention. We also help owners explore insurance options.
Who is Rikor?
We’re an insurance agency and insurance monitoring team focused on franchise businesses. Your brand brought us in to monitor insurance across its network. If you want help reviewing or shopping coverage, you can work with one of our insurance consultants.
What is in this for me?
You can see what insurance your brand requires, get help understanding document requests, and know when the information we have needs attention. If you’re frustrated with insurance or unsure your coverage fits your business, you also have a team to turn to for an optional review.
Is this just about compliance?
The purpose is protecting what you’re building. Checking documents against your brand’s requirements is one part of that work. It helps identify missing information and coverage requirements that need attention. It does not replace a full discussion of your business risks and policy terms.
Do I have to participate or change insurance agents?
You must participate in the monitoring process required by your brand. You do not have to change agents or buy insurance through Rikor. Your current agent can continue handling your insurance and help provide the requested documents.
What does this service cost me?
There are no added technology fees or monitoring costs for franchisees. Our help reviewing and shopping your insurance is also free. If you buy a policy, you pay for the insurance. Monitoring is required whether or not you buy from us.
What you need to do
What do I need to do first?
Watch for the insurance document request from Rikor. Open its link to see your brand’s requirements and where to submit your documents. You can provide them yourself or ask your current agent to help. The introductory emails explain the process; they are not the document request.
Why am I getting several introduction emails?
We want you to understand the partnership before asking you to do anything. The launch sequence includes two emails from your brand followed by four from Rikor, spaced two days apart. Your first document request follows the introduction.
How do I know the request is legitimate?
Your brand introduces Rikor before our outreach begins. If you’re unsure about a message, contact your brand or reach us at support@rikor.io or 844-616-9663 to verify it before using the link.
When are my documents due?
Follow the deadline in your monitoring request. If you don’t see a date, or your agent needs more time, contact us. Don’t assume the introduction schedule is your submission deadline. Any exception to your brand’s requirements needs to be addressed with the brand.
What if I already sent documents to my brand?
Let us know when you sent them and to whom. We can help determine what is still needed for your monitoring record. Sending documents elsewhere does not necessarily mean they have been received and reviewed by Rikor.
Can I ignore the request if I am happy with my insurance?
No. Monitoring is required by your brand even if you are happy with your coverage and agent. You can decline the optional insurance review and still complete the document request. Questions about enforcement or exceptions belong with your brand.
Preparing your documents
What documents do I need?
Your request will list what is needed for your business. That may include a certificate of insurance and supporting documents for specific requirements. Follow the request rather than guessing or sending every document you have.
What is a certificate of insurance and where do I get one?
A certificate of insurance, often called a COI, summarizes information about insurance policies. Ask the agent who handles your business insurance for a current certificate that addresses your brand’s request. The certificate is not the policy itself.
Can my agent or someone on my team help submit?
Yes, you can ask them to help provide the documents. If they cannot access the request, contact us for the appropriate submission instructions. Do not share your account password or verification code.
What if I have several locations or business entities?
Tell us which locations and entities the documents cover. Check that the names and addresses match the business being reviewed. If one policy covers several locations, ask us how to associate the documents with the right records instead of assuming one upload resolves every request.
What if different agents handle different policies?
Ask each agent for the documents relating to the coverage they handle. You can submit the requested information from more than one agent. Let us know which items are still outstanding so we can understand what is missing.
What if I do not have a document or my business details are wrong?
Tell us what is missing or incorrect. We can help clarify the request, and your agent can help obtain insurance documents. If the entity, location, ownership, or contact details are wrong, tell us which record needs correction. Don’t upload unrelated documents just to complete the request.
After you submit
Does submitting documents request quotes or change my agent?
No. Submitting documents is part of monitoring. It does not request quotes, authorize a change of agent, or change your policy. An optional insurance review starts through a separate intake process.
What happens after I upload?
We review the documents against the requirements that apply to your business. If information is missing or something needs attention, we’ll follow up. We also track the renewal dates on file and request updated information when needed.
Does uploading mean my insurance has been approved?
No. Receiving a document and reviewing it are separate steps. An upload by itself does not confirm that all requirements have been met. Look for the review result or follow-up, and contact us if you’re unsure about your status.
How will I know whether you received my documents?
Look for the confirmation or status shown by the submission page. If it is unclear, contact us with your brand, business name, and when you uploaded. We can help check receipt rather than having you repeatedly resend the same documents.
Why am I still getting reminders after submitting?
We may still need another document, updated information, or a correction to the business record. Your submission may also still need review. Contact us with the request and submission details so we can check why the reminder was sent.
What if the upload link does not work or I cannot sign in?
Contact support@rikor.io with your brand, business name, and a description of the problem. You can include a screenshot of the error without passwords or verification codes. We’ll help you find the right way to submit. Don’t create duplicate records to work around an access problem.
Understanding your results
Did my brand change its insurance requirements?
The partnership itself does not change your requirements. Your brand will let you know if it changes them. Each initial monitoring request shows the requirements that apply. If something looks unfamiliar, ask your brand or Rikor to clarify it.
What if a requirement does not apply to my business?
Tell us which requirement you’re asking about and why. We can review the information with you and identify what needs clarification from your brand. Rikor does not independently waive your brand’s requirements.
Does buying insurance from Rikor affect the review?
No. We check documents against the brand requirements that apply to your business, regardless of who provides the insurance. Buying from Rikor does not change those requirements or how we review your documents.
What if Rikor flags something my agent says is correct?
Ask us to review it and have your agent provide the supporting information. We’ll explain what needs attention so the issue can be addressed. You do not have to buy insurance from Rikor to resolve a monitoring issue.
Does a missing or flagged item mean I have no insurance?
Not necessarily. It may mean we lack a document or cannot confirm a requirement from what was submitted. It may also identify an issue that needs attention. Ask us what the result means, and have your agent confirm the coverage in your policy.
Does meeting the brand requirements mean every risk is covered?
No. Monitoring checks the submitted information against your brand’s requirements. It is not a review of every policy term or every risk in your business, and it does not guarantee a claim will be covered. Talk with your agent or request a separate insurance review for broader coverage questions.
Getting help with your insurance
How do I request an insurance review?
Complete the short intake to request an insurance review. Where we have information on file, we’ll prefill what we can for you to review. You can also contact us for help getting started.
What happens after the intake?
We assign you a dedicated insurance consultant who understands your brand. After the information is collected, they talk with you about your business and concerns. Then we go to insurance companies for options and walk through the resulting coverage and price with you.
How long does it take to get options?
Your insurance presentation is usually ready within seven days after your consultant conversation and once we have the information needed to quote. If additional information or carrier review affects timing, your consultant will keep you updated. Tell us early if your renewal or opening date is close.
Does requesting a review commit me to anything?
No. A review does not commit you to buying insurance or changing agents. You decide after reviewing your options. If you choose not to buy, your brand’s required monitoring process still applies.
Can you guarantee a lower price or better coverage?
No. The options depend on your business and what insurance companies offer. We help you compare coverage and price so you can make an informed decision. There is no charge for our help, even if you decide to stay with your current agent.
Can I request help before renewal or if I am already shopping?
Yes. Tell your consultant your renewal date and whether another agent is already seeking quotes. They can help coordinate the next steps. Requesting a review does not cancel existing coverage; discuss any proposed switch and its timing before making changes.
Your information and ongoing support
What information can I find in the portal?
The portal is where your insurance monitoring information is organized. If you need help finding submitted documents, renewal dates, or a review result, contact us. Access to monitoring information does not mean Rikor has become your insurance agent.
What does my franchisor see?
The monitoring process gives your brand visibility into insurance records and status across its network. If you want to know exactly which documents or fields your brand can access, ask us to explain the access that applies to your account.
How is my information used and protected?
We collect insurance information to support your brand’s monitoring process. If you have questions about data access, sharing, retention, or safeguards, contact us for the applicable privacy information before submitting. Uploading monitoring documents is not a request for insurance quotes.
What if my policy renews or my business changes?
Provide updated documents when requested. If your insurer, agent, business entity, location, or contact information changes, let us know so the monitoring record can be updated. Your insurance agent should also know about changes that may affect your coverage.
Who handles policy changes certificates billing or claims?
If you keep your current agent, continue contacting them or your insurer for policy service. Rikor can help with monitoring questions. If you buy insurance through Rikor, contact our team for help with your policy service needs. Monitoring alone does not transfer that role to us.
How do I get help or change who receives these messages?
Email support@rikor.io or call 844-616-9663. Include your brand, business name, and the request you’re asking about. Tell us if the contact has changed or you want help with communication preferences. Declining optional insurance offers does not remove your brand’s monitoring requirement.
